Dear Parents, Students and Teachers,
This weekend 13th of November, we will have the last weekend of online learning for SALA.
Unfortunately due to current restrictions as well as VCE exams, we are unable to use the usual premises for teaching.
Good news is that on the 20th November, We will return to onsite learning. We are very excited to have learning back on campus again, and we look forward to seeing all you again on the 20th November!
Updated COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines
With the return to onsite learning on the 20th November, please be advised of the current requirements to ensure the safety of our teacher, students and parents.
The following is a summary of the measures being taken to prevent transmission of COVID-19 SALA Community. Staff, students and parents must work together at this time to ensure everyone’s safety.
Sign in requirements
All visitors are required to check in using the Service Victoria QR code. These are located at the entry to the facilities.
A COVID Marshal will be appointed to ensure all visitors check in and meet any vaccination requirements.
Parents and Students are to enter via the main sliding doors at the front of Cluster H.
Vaccination Requirements
Staff and Volunteers must have at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and must have had two doses by Monday 29 November or have a valid medical exemption. This applies to indoor and outdoor facilities.
All visitors who enter a school building must have had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and must have had two doses by Monday 29 November or have a valid medical exemption.
Vaccination information must be produced for sighting by Community Group nominated COVID Marshal.
Capacity Limits
Capacity limit includes all participants, support staff/volunteers and spectators.
For our indoor venues, the limit is based on a density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm.
For H cluster centre, 41 people is the maximum for this space. Students must follow teachers’ instruction during the recess if it was raining on Saturday.
For each classroom in H cluster, 16 people is the maximum for these spaces.
COVID Safe behaviours
Face masks must be worn in accordance with current Department of Health regulations.
Students and parents are required to observe physical distancing practices, keeping at least a 1.5 metre distance from others.
Breaktime - All food, drink and utensils must be BYO onsite. No sharing of food or drink permitted. It is recommend to take Breaktime outdoors with adequate physical distancing and if weather permits, otherwise breaktime will be held within the individual classrooms.
Students should bring their own personal stationery to minimise sharing of equipment.
Sanitiser will be available on campus for those who attend campus to sanitise their hands upon entry.
COVID-19 directions will be subject to change, dependent on the status of the COVID-19 pandemic in Victoria and any changes in advice from relevant State and Commonwealth authorities.
