SALA is a non-profit community-based organisation with a focus on teaching the Chinese language and promoting awareness of Asian cultures. The school is accredited by the Department of Education to conduct Mandarin language classes. The curriculum caters for both children and adults who are interested in learning another language. Children can progress up to VCE level.

Our classes have small student numbers to ensure students receive individual attention. We employ dedicated, Australian-trained Chinese-English speaking teachers. There is a strong Parent-Teacher supportive environment.

SALA members also regularly participate in cultural activities in the local community. Activities include demonstrations on Asian arts and crafts, participation in Asian food fairs and performances by the school choir.

SALA has a strong relationship with Caulfield Grammar School and is based at its beautiful Wheelers Hill campus.
